Some time after the beginning of the session, Sarah, Valentine, Margot, Aimée and I decided to take advantage of a weekend of three days to leave for Rimouski!
The girls had it all planned out!
On Friday, departure on Friday after the carpool lessons with our teachers Michel and Yves. On our arrival, visit of the city in the evening and jazz festival of Rimouski.
This evening was really enjoyable, we took advantage of the festival to discover several jazz bands, young and old. Pretty discoveries both musically pleasing and original.
On Saturday, visit of the “canyon of the gates of hell” under a big sun and a big heat. We discovered the whole park (that is to say many kilometers on foot!) with its falls, its 83 meters high and 100 meters long footbridge which overlooks a magnificent landscape of dreams. Looking back, I think it’s my best memory of Canada today!
On Sunday, breakfast at the bakery (ventry pastries, baguette and hot chocolate by appointment) and visit in inches (not easy here!) at the BIC National Park. A truly sublime park with its unique fauna and flora.
And finally, on Monday, thanks a morning and return to Matane by coach.
It was really a wonderful weekend with people that I really appreciate very much now.
(A big thank you to Michel for the loan of his car, his great confidence and for the vienoiseries!
